Welcome to Resurrection Beach Metropolitan Community Church. We are an LGBT-founded, Christ centered ministerial community that equips, restores, encourages and grows people’s spiritual lives through vibrant worship, relevant teaching, transparent leadership, opportunities to serve, and intentional relationships grounded in grace.
We worship Sunday evenings at 6 PM as well as host a number of regular events including Bible / Book studies, game / movie nights, summer beach bonfires, special fundraising events for our community and an annual murder mystery night which is not to be missed.
Services last approximately 75 – 90 minutes as worship includes contemporary worship music, Biblically-grounded sermons, a time to hear one another’s prayer concerns and an open communion with an opportunity to receive a personalized spiritual message and prayer.
We are a volunteer Lay-Led congregation and have developed a community-based leadership structure which is modeled on the Early Church. 100% of tithes and offerings go to support our various ministries, pay the rent and utilities for our facility and support the MCC global mission. No one personally profits from or draws a salary out of the funds entrusted to our church.
RBMCC regularly serves the homeless community in Orange County, is active in supporting those living with HIV/ AIDS, and has partnered with a local charity to support women and children escaping abusive relationships. We are also in the beginning stages of building an online outreach campaign to reach a global audience with our message of God’s radically inclusive love for all.
And if you find yourself visiting us near the holidays, you will note we take both Christmas and Easter very seriously as we believe these two holidays and the periods leading up to them help to ground us in our faith.
It’s important to know you don’t have to identify as LGBT to attend. We’ve had as many as third of our attendees from the straight community because we’ve found a pretty unique way of worshiping God and creating a Christ-centered community in an inclusive way which some have found missing in other more mainstream churches.
Lastly, we love to eat. You are welcome to join us after service as we share a meal and catch up with one another.
We’d love to hear from you and even more, we’d love to see you on Sunday!
