Welcome to Resurrection Beach Metropolitan Community Church (RBMCC)!
Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) were started in 1968 by Rev. Troy Perry. He accepted the call of God to hold a worship service in his home for those who experienced rejection by their religious communities. It began as a small group of twelve, but it has grown into the largest religious movement of LGBTQIA inclusion in modern US history. MCC is a worldwide religious denomination that affirms and welcomes all of God’s children regardless of orientation.
As a branch of MCC, we believe everyone has a right to be an equal heir of God’s love, Christ’s salvation and Holy Sprit’s anointing. We welcome everyone, especially those who may have felt left out in other religious environments.
Our celebration comes in many forms and as often as there is a need or opportunity to serve. We frequently work with the organizations like Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Corbin Family Resource Center and Strength for the Journey AIDS Team Ministry. We also have a ministry for the homeless and less fortunate.
Our community remains strong and vibrant because of our prayer and praise life, our love and care for one another, and our shared commitment to being the hands, feet, face, and voice of Jesus Christ to those in need.
Thank you for the opportunity to share just a bit about who we are. If you would like more information or to speak with us, please call us at 714-662-6972. For more information about the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, please visit https://www.mccchurch.org/
